The document analyzes and compares the water quality of four water samples - tap water, Stone Canyon Creek, Alamo River, and Red Hill from the Salton Sea. Testing found that Alamo River and Red Hill had much higher levels of alkalinity, hardness, nutrients (nitrogen and phosphorus), suspended solids, chloride, and sulfate compared to tap water and creek water. A coagulation/flocculation treatment was able to significantly improve the water quality when applied to a mixture of Alamo River and Red Hill water. The results indicate that treatment is needed to improve the polluted water quality of the Alamo River and Red Hill.
